Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, she is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and mixed martial artist fighting for her country in UFC in the Flyweight Division. She is currently competing. Shevchenko is the older sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champion as well as the other UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and later defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina followed it up and received a silver award in 2007, a bronze award in 2008, and then a gold in the year 2011 and the title of year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she was the winner of her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 she won the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's latest fight came against Isa Keskikangas of the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimity. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win via second-round TKO and won her next 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-1. Shevchenko put on a pause from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing and came back in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a majority decision. She the next day, she defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina knocked out Nievera using her impressive striking ability when she clinched by the body with knees. Following this victory, Antonina signed a UFC deal. Antonina did her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first fight via unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss after defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler with a back-naked choke. She was awarded the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko lost 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts, defeating Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
